12 lb Trout Caught on Lough Derg

A 12lb Trout was caught on Lough Derg by local man Jimmy Kelly. Jimmy lives in Ballina and is a member of St Flannan's Fishing Club for the past 25 years. It was during the Alex Jones Trophy annual Trout competition that Jimmy landed this specimen trout. along with two others 1lb 12.5 oz's and 1lb 7 oz's other
second place Kevin Grimes two fish 1lb 13oz's & 1lb 10 oz's,
third place Patrick Riordan & James Power 1lb 12.5ozs.
